At the back of scalp there is a permanent zone of hairs from which hair follicles are taken and transplanted in the bald area under local anaesthesia while the patient is fully awake. These hairs grow at the bald hair like normal hair after some time and needs hair cutting .It looks natural after expert transplantation without any visible mark at the recipient site and a fine scar line at the back of head. For larger bald area or better density 2 or more sessions are required.Depending upon the requirement and donor site density 9000 to 10500 follicles are transplanted in one session in our centre.

Transplanted hairs usually falls after 4 weeks and starts to grow again after 3 months. But at our centre in most of the cases most of the transplanted hairs continue to grow after transplantation without falling.
